My "Origin" Story - Timber
Just a momma helping another momma - Meet Timber!
As I prepared to leave active duty, I was able to secure a volunteer internship at the Arabian Rescue Mission which had a number of pregnant mares. The first pregnant mare I had the pleasure of working on was Timber. This was in the EARLY days of my program with School AIT, so the knowledge was lacking but the desire to help was strong. In bodywork, energy and intention can often make just as much - if not more - of an impact on a horse than the manual massage. I knew she was miserable, having already had a baby and being pregnant with my second at the time. I will forever be touched by the trust this momma showed me and the validation of actually helping her relax her body for labor and recover after. Ihile I doubted myself when I made this video, looking back, I know I made a difference for her. Unlike when I was starting out, I am now much more equipped to help mommas in need.

Photos from the School AIT Live Intensive
The School of Applied Integrative Therapy Equine (School AIT) is a 500 hour course that prepares you to take the National Board for Certified Animal Acupressure and Massage (NBCAAM) test. Part of this training is a 60 hour in-person live intensive training. Here are some photos from the bodywork sessions I did during the 6 days I was there! (Peep my second baby bump!)
